Privacy Policy
trialcatcher.com · Effective: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how RidePride LLC d/b/a TrialCatcher™ ("TrialCatcher," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the TrialCatcher™ platform, including the community social network and study directory. Please also review our Terms of Service and Communications & Consent Policy.
1. Who We Are and Our Two Roles
Platform operator. When you browse the directory, create a member profile, and engage with the community, we act as the operator of our own consumer platform and handle your information as described in this Policy.
Service provider to clinics (Business Associate). When you submit a study application or prescreening questionnaire to a specific clinic, we collect that health information on that clinic's behalf as their HIPAA Business Associate. That clinic is the "covered entity" responsible for that health information, and its own Notice of Privacy Practices governs it. We handle it under a Business Associate Agreement and use it only to provide services to that clinic.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide as a member: name, email, mobile number, password, profile details, study types and topics you choose to follow, studies you search for and save, clinics you follow, posts and discussion activity, and referral/payout information if you participate in the community engagement program.
Information you provide when applying to a study: the data requested by the clinic's intake and prescreening forms, which may include health conditions, symptoms, and contact details. This is handled under Section 1 as health information collected for the clinic.
Information collected automatically: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and similar usage data, collected through cookies and similar technologies subject to your choices.
3. How We Use Information
- To operate the platform, your member profile, and the study directory;
- To send transactional messages (confirmations, security, payout confirmations);
- To send study and campaign messages based on your platform activity — studies you search for and save, and clinics you follow — with your consent and subject to opt-out (see our Communications & Consent Policy);
- To route study applications and prescreening data to the clinic you applied to;
- To improve and secure the platform, prevent fraud and spam, and comply with law.
Important: We do not use the health information you submit to a specific clinic to target marketing or campaign messages. Marketing audiences are built only from your platform activity — the studies you search for and save and the clinics you follow — never from clinical intake or prescreening health data.
4. How We Share Information
- With the clinic you apply to — your study application and prescreening data are shared with that clinic to evaluate your interest in that study;
- With service providers (e.g., cloud hosting on Microsoft Azure, messaging providers) that process information on our behalf under contract;
- As required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security;
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing), subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share clinical health information for any party's marketing.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update your profile information at any time in your account;
- Opt out of marketing email (unsubscribe) and SMS (reply STOP) at any time;
- Manage cookies through your browser and our cookie controls;
- Request deletion of your member account, subject to records we must retain by law;
- For health information held for a clinic, direct access/amendment requests to that clinic, which we will support as their Business Associate.
Florida and other state residents may have additional rights regarding their personal information; contact us to exercise them.
6. Data Security & Retention
We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure. We retain information as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
7. Children
The platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes & Contact
We may update this Policy and will post the new effective date. Questions: RidePride LLC d/b/a TrialCatcher™, contact@ridepride.com.
