You may be eligible if you’re a postmenarcheal, premenopausal female between 13 and 45 years old, sexually active, and seeking reliable contraception.
Can teens participate in this trial?
Yes, girls aged 13 to 17 can join if local laws allow them to consent to contraceptive services and participate in clinical research, and they are able to provide informed assent or consent.
What if I’ve never used hormonal birth control?
That’s fine! Whether you’ve never used it, took a break and had a full menstrual cycle, or are switching directly from another method, you may qualify.

Your blood pressure must be at or below 140/90 mm Hg, based on three readings taken during your screening visit.
What will be expected of me during the study?
You’ll need to use the vaginal ring as your only form of contraception for 13 monthly cycles and have vaginal sex with a male partner each cycle. Condoms for STI protection are allowed, but no backup or emergency contraception can be used.
